Do you know your spirit animal and totems?
In this episode, I share just a few of my stories of how I connect spiritually and learn from the animal kingdom. . If these encounters hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t believe them! This introductory podcast also offers tips for getting started connecting with your own power animals
How do you connect with your spirit animals?
First, notice if you are drawn to a certain animal for no reason or if you have encounters with a particular creature. It can be helpful to look up what characteristics that animal represents from a shamanic teaching perspective. My favorite reference for messages from the animal kingdom is Animal Speak by, Ted Andrews.
Second, if you just happen to receive gifts with the likeness of a certain animal or if people know that you have a “thing” for a particular creature, chances are that animal represents qualities for your spiritual growth.
Third, you can work with your power animal and spirit totems with guided meditations that facilitate your connection to the animal realm. These sessions are called power animal journeys. I will be facilitating a full week of animal medicine teachings in my upcoming Shamanic Empowerment Course, EXPANDING SACRED.
In addition, you can support your communication with the animal kingdom by booking one-on-one remote sessions for facilitated power animal journeys. Guided shamanic work with a facilitator deepens your connection to every kingdom of nature. Contact me for more information about personalized remote sessions at firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, I’ll be offering deeper podcasts on Animal Spirit Medicine. This episode is just a little introduction where I share some crazy stories that deepened my trust in my own shamanic practice and enhanced my appreciation for animals.
Empower yourself with nature
I have a simple reminder for you. Never underestimate the power of spending tine in nature. Let the lessons and wisdom come to you naturally.
What is a totem?
“A totem is a spirit being, sacred object, or symbol of a tribe, clan, family or individual. Some Native American tribes’s tradition provides that each person is connected with different animals that accompany him through life, acting as guides.
Different animal guides, also called spirit guides and/or power animals, come in and out of our lives depending on the direction that we are headed and the tasks that need to be completed along our journey.”-www.legendsofamerica.com
God is always speaking to us through the kingdoms of nature. All we have to do is pay attention and listen to the messages. Here’s a way to decipher between a message and a warning from the animal kingdom. When an animal presents itself to you alive in nature, this might be a message from Spirit. However, when an animal is dead on your path, this could be a warning.
In conclusion, you have the ability to know and connect with your spirit animals. Are you listening to what nature has to say to you? What messages are you receiving from the animals? What is your favorite spirit animal? I’d love to know. Leave a comment below!
