Energy Work In Action

Back in 2006, Louise Hay gave us students an assignment during her Coaching Training workshop. We were instructed to write our ideal life story, what our perfect life would look like. In “The Story of My Life”, I woke up early every day and did Qi Gong exercises. This was the kick start to the ultimate morning of my magical life. I live this magical life every day now and it was only a dream in 2006.

What is Qi Gong? QiGong is Moving Meditation.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines movement, breath, and meditation to promote overall well-being. In Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, Qi Gong is thought to help balance the flow of energy along the meridians, supporting overall health and well-being.

Benefits of Qi Gong

Increased Circulation: Qi Gong exercises can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs. Tapotement (tapping)stimulates blood flow to wake up the energy in the body, improving circulation.

Energy Activation: The motions of Qi Gong are believed to stimulate the flow of Qi (energy) within the body, helping to activate and balance the body’s energy systems.

Muscle Relaxation: Qi Gong can help relax muscles and release tension. It may be particularly effective in areas prone to stiffness or discomfort.
Joint Mobilization: Gentle circular motions with joints can contribute to improved joint flexibility and mobility. This can be especially beneficial for individuals with joint issues or stiffness.

Stress Reduction: The rhythmic and repetitive nature of Qi Gong breathwork can have a calming effect on the nervous system, helping to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Improved Mental Focus: The combination of movement and breath in Qi Gong exercises can enhance mental clarity and focus, promoting a sense of mindfulness.

Enhanced Body Awareness: Qi Gong breathwork encourages individuals to be aware of their body, promoting a mind-body connection and improving overall body awareness.
Lymphatic System Stimulation: Qi Gong movements may help stimulate the lymphatic system, supporting the body’s natural detoxification process and enhancing immune function.

Daily Qi Gong was only a dream of mine back then. Now, I can’t imagine my daily life without a routine of qi gong movements to start each new day. Isn’t it funny how allow ourselves more well-being the more we grow and heal? I look at my morning routine now and realize my dream has come true from Louise Hay’s class. I can celebrate “The Story of My Life” is even better now than I could have imagined back in 2006!

Qi Gong Preserves Healing Practitioners

Qi Gong exercises make me a better energy healer, coach & teacher because Qi Gong is energy work in action. If meditation is challenging for you, try be consistent with the traditional 36 “Yang Style” exercises. If you practice Qi Gong every day, watch your intuitive skills develop.

I also see how a daily movement practice is essential for any holistic service provider. We need movement in our bodies to keep our energetic channels working properly. Many of us are now doing more remote coaching sessions and distance healing sessions than before. Qi Gong fills the gap for healers who’ve pivoted and now work remotely. Remote healers might love the scheduling flexibility but not the toll sitting takes on the body.
